The Mid-South Pullers Association is headed to the Eastern time zone to “My Old Kentucky Home”! And that’s located in Bardstown, Kentucky. Bardstown, located 40 miles due south of Louisville, is a historic community with roots back to the Civil War. Bardstown is also known as the “Bourbon capital of the World”. They celebrate this with the annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival which will take place this September 14-18.
This Friday night (July 17th) the Nelson County Fair will be filled with the smell of food, the sounds of happy fairgoers, and the roar of a truck and tractor pull. There could very well be a battle on the track that could be a mild reenactment of a Civil War battle. Well, how about a North vs. South battle. Bardstown has more history in pulling also. It is home to Mike Wilhite and Jimmy Mattingly to name a few.

The Mid-South Pullers Association is headed to Paris! This Saturday, July 17th, the MSPA invades the Henry County Fairgrounds located in Paris, TN for the 17th annual “Volunteer Fire Department Championships”. This pull benifits Cottage Grove, Whitlock, Jones Mills, and the Airport volunteer fire departments.
Paris, along with Henry County, is rich in traditions. One tradition is the World’s Biggest Fish Fry which is held every year, in Paris, the last full week of April. While in Paris do what the French would do and visit the Eiffel tower. Yes, the Eiffel tower is in Paris, TN. It’s a scaled down model but it’s there. The rich tradition in Paris spills over to pulling. Paris has its hand deep into the history of pulling with Sonny & Randy Crutcher, and current pullers such as John Smith & Jerry Stewart.

Pro-Stock 4 wd Rule Changes!
Pending approval, Mid-South Pro-Stock 4wd will adapt PPL and KTPA rules with the exception of aluminum blocks and fiberglass bodies. This will allow up to 485 cubic inches and aluminum heads. Clutches and bell-housings can be inspected at the Southern Invitational at Murfreesboro.
