NTPA Divisional Committee Structure Revise

In order to improve communications between the NTPA Divisional Committees and the NTPA membership, the timetable for suggestions to be proposed by each Divisional Committee has been revised.

Each divisional committee must submit its written agenda items to the NTPA Office by August 10 to be posted on the website, www.ntpapull.com, and printed in the September issue of The Puller. By obtaining and posting the agenda items 45 days before the Enderle Pull-off meetings, communication can be established to the members, NTPA Member States, and WPI/NTPA Executive Boards regarding what will be presented. This gives each member an opportunity to know what recommendations will be discussed and a chance to voice their opinion. This also gives everyone on the board of directors more time to digest each division’s suggestions. Any new agenda items proposed by an NTPA Divisional Committee will go forward to next September’s meeting for consideration, although safety rules and other pressing business matters can be considered and acted upon by the WPI/NTPA Executive Board.

Please begin talking among your peers about rule change suggestions between now and Aug. 10, and get those suggestions in writing! Bring up this issue at the next few drivers’ meetings you attend. (Thank you for your service!)

Rule Making Structure with Integrating Divisional Committees

December – Banquet Weekend

NTPA Full Board meets for the election of the NTPA Executive Board of Directors terms that are expiring and to vote on written agenda items to forward to the Divisional Committees for consideration in the following year’s fall meeting. NTPA Full Board can recommend candidates for consideration for the Divisional Committee appointments whose terms have expired for the upcoming season.

During Season

The NTPA Divisional Committee Members are encouraged to discuss with their peers potential changes in the rules of competition. These discussions will assist in forming agenda items for the upcoming fall meetings.

August 10

This date is established as the deadline by which each NTPA Member State and NTPA Divisional Committee Chairman are to submit agenda items to the WPI/NTPA Office. These agenda items will be the only items brought forth by the NTPA Divisional Committees to the WPI/NTPA Executive Boards in September.

By August 12, the WPI/NTPA Office will publish submitted agenda items on www.ntpapull.com and in the September issue of The Puller so that competitors may have the opportunity to contact their NTPA Member State or NTPA Divisional Committee members expressing their support or concerns on agenda items. The compiled agenda items will be sent back to the NTPA Divisional Committees and WPI/NTPA Executive Boards for examination before the fall meeting.

Sunday of Enderle Pull-Off Weekend

At 9 a.m., NTPA Divisional Committees convene to discuss agenda. The first hour will be open to any interested competitor. WPI/NTPA Executive Board Members may rotate among the various committees’ discussions. Each NTPA Divisional Committee Chairman presents a written report to WPI/NTPA Executive Boards for consideration in the following year’s rules. Any new agenda items proposed by an NTPA Divisional Committee not previously submitted will go forward to next September’s meeting for consideration. After receiving the NTPA Divisional Committee reports, WPI/NTPA Executive Boards reconvene and consider any changes or new rules for the following year.
