January 11, 2010 (Louisville, KY) Battle of the Bluegrass Announces Proposed Rules for Diesel 2WD Trucks

January 4, 2010 (Louisville, Kentucky) Lloyd Lamb Named as Director of the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series Indiana Division

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is proud to announce the addition of a new region.  In 2010, the BOB Series will be sanctioning events in Indiana.  “There is a real need for sanctioned pulling in Southern Indiana, and the BOB Series will be involved with several events in 2010 in the Hoosier State.”, said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell.  “As in Kentucky, Indiana has a long history of pulling and we are excited about our events that will take place in the Hoosier State in 2010.”, commented McConnell. If you qualified for the 2010 Southern Illinois Shoot Out by finishing in the Top 10 at the Midwest Winter Nationals and DO NOT WISH TO PULL WITH US in DuQuoin let us know as soon as possible so we can fill your spot with the next qualifier. ATTENTION 2010 Southern Illinois Shoot Out Super Farm, Hot Farm, Pro Farm, and 8,500 Limited Pro Stock Competitors!!!! We will be checking your water injection water at this years event.The water sample taken from your tractor must freeze before you will be allowed to compete. WE DO NOT CARE what you use for water injection water, just make sure it will freeze. There is no need to call and debate this decision. Water samples will be taken several hours before your competition, so make sure you pay close attention to the events tech schedule. If your water sample is NOT taken because you were not available for inspection, YOU WILL NOT PULL!! Thank you for your cooperation.

Dates for the 2010 Southern Illinois Shoot Out – February 26-27, 2010 for tractors and March 5-6, 2010 for Trucks, Minis, Modifieds and Unlimited Super Stocks. We split the classes into two weekends, because we are going utalize a one track situation. The northern half of the arena will be used for a indoor pit area. We thought the date change to the last February and the 1st weekend in March would demand this. We will do our best to get everyone inside the building one session at a time. We moved the date to get our second event off the same weekend as Illinois high school basketball state tournaments and the Big Ten tournament. Tentative class schedules are now up for each weekend. ITPA Awards Banquet

The 2009 Illinois Tractor Pulling Association’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois.  Approximately 450 people were in atttendance to honor the 2009 ITPA sponsor, promoters, point winners, special award winners and their families.  Over $80,000 in point fund checks, cash, Burrus seed corn, merchandise and door prizes were awarded.  Dan Bartling (with help from Esdon) was the winner of the competing membership drawing “pass the envelope game”.  Congratulations to all ITPA point champions and special award winners.

January 21, 2010(Louisville, KY) Battle of the Bluegrass Announces Rules For Diesel Trucks

The proposed rule changes for the Diesel Trucks in the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series are as follows:

Work Stock…No changes

Pro Street Diesel Truck(2.6): Helmets are required.  Does not have to be a full face helmet.

All rules remain the same except the following: Turbo Chargers: No bushings.  Chargers must be a true 2.6.  Agricultural governors will be allowed.  Must have a ¾ inch spacing covered by material from the wheel the face of the charger.

Outlaw Diesel Truck(2.8/3.0)

• 2.8 trucks must have stock driveline and will weigh 8000lbs.
• 3.0 trucks may have open drivelines and will weigh 7500lbs.
• Helmets will be required, but does not have to be a full face helmet.
• BOB Series may adjust weight and drawbar to equalize competition.
