Banquet Invitations
Invitations for OSTPA’s 41st Annual Awards Banquet have been mailed.Ticket orders must be received by January 9, 2012. Tickets will be available for pickup at the Registration Table the night of the banquet. Please note if making reservations for an overnight stay that the room rate is $99. The Columbus Airport Marriott is requesting that reservations be made by January 6, 2012.
Please Note: 2011 OSTPA Champions, Promoters, Executive Board Members, Circuit Sponsors, Class Sponsors, and Banquet Sponsors all receive two complimentary tickets. Workers who worked five or more events are entitled to one complimentary ticket. If you are entitled to a complimentary banquet ticket(s), you must still return the RSVP card.
ALSO NOTE: All tickets will have reserved seating. Tables will seat eight. Please note on your ticket order form any other guests you would like to sit with.

BOB News: Pro Stock 4WD Rules Remain the Same for 2012

2011 Rules Meeting and Banquet
Please join us December 2nd and 3rd in Columbia Missouri at the Stoney Creek Inn for our first annual Rules Meeting and Awards Banquet. Happy Hour will begin on Friday at 7pm. This will allow everyone to socialize and reminisce about this year’s past events. The essential part of the weekend will begin promptly at 10 am Saturday morning in Stoney Creek’s Salon B & C meeting room. We will begin by electing or re-electing 2 board members, followed by individual class meetings designed to discuss possible rule change options. There are many topics that will be dealt with and discussed throughout the day.

Case IH, long recognized as a high horsepower leader in the field, will be putting some of that horsepower on display at the pulling track as the National Tractor Pullers Association’s (NTPA) official farm equipment brand. The announcement was made at the National Tractor Pullers Association 41stAnnual Convention & Awards Banquet, in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, December 3.“Horsepower is never more prominently displayed than at a tractor pull and pullers strive to find every last bit of it in their tractors,” says Kyle Russell, Senior Director of Marketing for Case IH North America. “Providing more horsepower is Case IH’s specialty and a primary focus for developing the world’s most powerful, productive and efficient tractors and equipment. This sponsorship is a great opportunity to connect tractor pullers and their fans with the Case IH brand.”

Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Awards Banquet NEWS
The 2011 Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois.
Approximately 450 people were in attendance to honor the 2011 ITPA sponsors, point winners, special award winners and their families. Over $100,000 in point fund money, Burrus seed, scholarships, jackets, trophies, door prizes and cash was awarded. Winner of the $500 competing membership “envelope game” was Fred Kozuszek.

You can make your reservations by calling 866.294.6250 (call for directions) mention you are with United Pullers of Minnesota to get the block rate of $89 a night for rooms with a king bed or 2 queen size beds. Upgrades and poolside rooms are available for more (not included in the block) you will need to call for price on those. Reservations for meals are as follows $28.00 per meal – Kids 10 and under $13.00 by January 1st.
Region 3 & 5 will be held that night and United Pullers of Iowa along with the Midsummer Shoot Out.

8:00 am UPM State Board Meeting
9:30am – 11:00am Morning State Meeting all UPM members to attend
11:00 am – 12pm UPI State meeting

1:00pm – 3:00pm Afternoon State Meeting all UPM members to attend
Region 3 and 5 meeting will be after the state meeting
Promoters are welcome to attend the afternoon meeting and bring up issues etc. to be discussed.
Social Hour 5:30pm
Banquet 6:30pm

Agenda Items that were passed to go into effect for 2012
1. Raise the C level purse to $3,000
2. Super Stock Division: Allow 19″ drawbar height for 505
and smaller cubic inch push rod aftermarket head motors.
3. Super Stock Division: Allow diesel powered tractors to
run 8600 lbs snd 20 inch hitch.
4. SMFWD: Blown trucks to run 27″ hitch and weigh 6500 lbs.,
naturally aspirated trucks to run 29″ hitch and weigh 7000 lbs.
Rule in effect for 2012 season only and be re-evaluated
at end of season.
